WE HAVE MOVED! http://oneimagination.weebly.com/

One Imagination empowers the current and next generation of leaders through written and oral expression. As a collective based in the Long Beach/South Bay area, we believe that through conscious artistic programming, community education and outreach, and leadership development, we can cultivate a world free of hatred, ignorance, injustice, inequality, and oppression.

The cost of convenience

"Seasons change and mad things rearrange,
but it all stays the same like the Love Dr. Strange"
I don't blame Ms. Hill for the things that she's sayin'
cuz they're draining our brains trying to make us one nation.
They be: erasin' our roots after pickin' our own fruit
Lickin their lips pointing at our women calling them 'exotic'.
Hypnotic is their gaze as they amaze us with their green chains
in exchange for our golden language - scraped from our tongues
No, we don't belong. Can't go back home so we cling to Assimilation.
First generation American, but your concern is to make a good living
instead of embracing the struggles to get here
whether forced or by choice, but that voice is never clear
Cuz the bombs are dropping from above and the end of us is near,
but they got our ears in plugs so the government we fear-
And her tears are rolling down her eyes because her baby's crying
with an empty stomache and her race is slowly dying-
Systemized, Marginalized definition of my own people
is the reason i am fighting for survival instead of us supplying their needs! MY CULTURE'S NOT COMMODITY SO LET MY PEOPLE BE!
I want a revolution but my fam has got to eat-
Cost of Living rising up - No, FREEDOM is not FREE!

-Jumakae
just a peak at the new track :D
