Democratic Party Convention in Wisconsin

Watching C-SPAN yesterday, I happened to catch the speeches of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.

Clinton's speech was overwhelming, empowering, and fueled by P.R. tactics. Ain't a bad thing--just makes her speech that much more powerful and long-lasting. She ended her speech by citing from the Statue of Liberty, "Give me your tired, poor, hungry, your huddled masses, etc." then she turned the tables and directly said to the audience, "Give ME your poor, give ME your homeless veterans, etc." Quite a wordforeplayer there.

But the candidate who played for more hard-hitting words was Mr. Obama. My, oh my. He has quite a bit of a lead in the race: in delegates, popular votes, and rhetoric ass kicking.

My favorite segment of the speech:
(Note: this was completely improvised and not included in his original speech)
