Over the summer, One Imagination re-structured itself as the hub of local conscious arts in the Long Beach and South Bay area and is back in action!
In addition to our beloved open mic, Break the Silence, we are hosting writing workshops every other week in Carson (starting soon this Fall 2009!) and are proud to also announce the launching of our very own youth program, BE HEARD: Building Empowerment through Healing, Education, Art, Respect, and Dignity. Through BE HEARD, we will be offering youth writing workshops, the Our Word is Our Weapon Youth Leadership Series in Spring 2010, and a mentoring program all geared for high school aged youth.
