Pilipino Workers Center and Filipino Americans for Immigration Reform 4-4-08

funkrabbit sent me this email (for those of you that don't know, funkrabbit is my brother mike) in regards to immigration and the upcoming International Workers Day event on May 1st (aka "May Day").

There is a workshop this Friday (4-4-08) to talk about the issues of immigration and reasons why we should continue to take action within our communities:

Quote:
During this meeting, we will:
1. Hear testimony from a Pilipino immigrant affected by our current immigration laws.
2. Connect the veterans issues with immigration reform
3. Discuss why it's urgent to have a large presence of Pilipinos at the May 1st March (International Workers Day)
4. Discuss further actions we can take as a community.
